Katja is a graduate of Colorado State University with a BA in History. Her career has spanned counseling in higher education, paralegal work, and serving as a paraprofessional in elementary education — a varied path that gave her deep experience working with people, navigating detailed documents, and staying organized under pressure.
All three of those disciplines show up in her work at Benefits Life. The counseling background makes her approachable to every new agent. The paralegal experience makes her meticulous with contract details. And the educator in her makes her patient with the process — no matter how complex it gets.
A proud Colorado native, Katja loves everything her home state has to offer. When she's not navigating the world of contracting, you'll find her living life to the fullest — exploring Denver and beyond, traveling to new destinations, cheering on the Denver Nuggets, catching live concerts, getting lost in a great book, or hitting the trails.
At home, she's surrounded by the people she loves most — her husband Scott, President of Benefits Life, their two adult children Leo and Helena, her mom and dad, and of course, the family dog, Captain.
