Your contact isn't a support desk. It's a bilingual agency owner.

We do not have bilingual staff in the office, and we are not going to claim we do. Our contracting, compliance and marketing teams work in English. Saying otherwise would be easy to write and easy to disprove the first time you called.

What we do have is two channels, and for many agents they work better than a desk.

For questions, in the moment: AskRamona answers in Spanish. Our AI assistant for insurance — Medicare, ACA, Life, Ancillary, Dental, Vision — works in Spanish and is free for our agents. That includes compliance questions, at any hour, without waiting for an office to open. It is an AI assistant: for a binding carrier or CMS determination, that answer comes from our team, in English, and we will tell you so plainly.

For training and coaching: a bilingual agency owner. Agents selling in Spanish work with bilingual agency owners inside the Benefits Life network — people who have already built a book in this market, in Spanish, with the same carriers you will be offering.

The practical difference: a bilingual rep reading a translated script can tell you what the manual says. An agency owner who has sold in Spanish for years can tell you what works at a kitchen table, which objection comes after the third question, and what AEP looks like when half your book would rather discuss health in Spanish.

Before you contract, ask to speak with one of them. If that conversation is not useful, you have learned something important about us — and it cost you nothing to find out.

Why This Page Exists

Almost every FMO says it supports bilingual agents. Very few publish what that means.

An English site with a "Español" button leading to three pages is not bilingual support. Neither is a translated brochure. If you sell in Spanish, what you need to know is concrete: can I contract in Spanish? Is the carrier portfolio in Spanish? Are there materials I can use without translating them myself? Does the co-op cover the community work I actually do?

Below are our answers, with verifiable numbers. Everything on this page can be checked by browsing the site right now — you do not have to take our word for it.

What We Won't Pretend

Speaking Spanish is necessary but not sufficient, and we wrote that before in The Latino Medicare Opportunity: the agents who succeed in this market integrate into their communities, recognise that Mexican Spanish is not Puerto Rican Spanish, and build trust over years. No FMO's infrastructure does that work for you.

What an FMO can do is remove friction — so you are not translating your own materials, not explaining a release policy in one language and selling it in another, and not guessing whether the co-op covers the community event you had already planned.

If you need something in Spanish that is not in the table above, ask us before you contract. We would rather tell you plainly what we can and cannot cover today than have you discover it mid-AEP. That answer is itself information about who you would be working with.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Benefits Life site fully in Spanish, or only some pages?

Fully. Every page on benefitslife.com also exists in Spanish — 35 pages in total, including all 12 blog posts, team bios, the FAQ, the Open Release policy, the commission rate table and the complete carrier portfolio. There is no reduced Spanish version.

Can an agent contract entirely in Spanish?

Yes, end to end. The contracting form is in Spanish, the confirmation email the agent receives is written in Spanish, and the thank-you page is too. Our contracting team receives the enquiry flagged as a Spanish-language enquiry so it reaches the right person.

Is the carrier list available in Spanish?

The full portfolio is published in Spanish — all 16 categories and 468 carrier listings, searchable. Carrier names stay in English deliberately, because that is how they appear in carrier portals and appointment paperwork; translating them would make them harder to find, not easier.

Are there Spanish-language marketing materials?

Yes. The ProShop includes hundreds of bilingual compliance-approved templates — business cards, flyers, direct mail, brochures and event signage — available to download or to order as professional prints.

Does the 50% marketing co-op cover Spanish-language community marketing?

Yes. The co-op reimburses 50% of approved marketing expenses on Medicare lines, and that includes community work — events, direct mail and advertising aimed at Spanish-speaking communities. What qualifies is covered in Marketing Co-Op Demystified.

Does Benefits Life have bilingual staff in the office?

No. Our contracting, compliance and marketing teams work in English, and we would rather say so. Your Spanish-language training and support come from bilingual agency owners inside the Benefits Life network — agents who have already built a book in this market. Ask to speak with one before you contract.

So how does compliance support work if I sell in Spanish?

You have Spanish-language compliance support through AskRamona, our AI assistant, which answers in Spanish at any hour and is free for our agents. Marketing materials are bilingual and compliance-approved. What we do not have is a bilingual compliance reviewer: if you need a binding carrier or CMS determination, that answer comes from our team in English. We would rather you know exactly where that line sits before you contract.

Why should a bilingual agent choose Benefits Life?

For the same reasons as any agent — Open Release (no waiting, no "for cause," no fees), street-level commissions paid directly by the carrier, renewals vested from day one, 280+ carriers — plus the fact that the Spanish-language infrastructure already exists and is published where you can check it yourself. We are not asking you to trust a promise; the pages are there.
